Vayahiy's Newsletter Web Log (Blog)...
In an effort to keep you up to date on our ministry and mission, we have gone the route of the web log (aka "blog").
It will be easier for us to load the newsletters on the new blog site, and hopefully, easier for you to access them.
We will continue to keep this page up with it's links and archives; however, if you want the current scoop, CLICK HERE to go to the new Vayahiy Newsletter.

The Cardwell family newsletter updating you on our mission to Scammon Bay Covenant Church in Scammon Bay, Alaska.
“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong” (2 Corinthians 2:10).

We had a wonderful time when Arctic Barnabas Women's Ministry flew in to minister to us in Scammon Bay from October 9-12. While Joel Caldwell ministered to Jon, Ginger Mayer, Natalie Zeigler, Kristi Dillingham, and Joel’s daughter, Tacy, ministered to me and the ladies of Scammon Bay.

The morning that the Arctic Barnabas Team flew out of Scammon Bay, Jon had another episode that was bad enough for him to be medically evacuated to Bethel. That was October 12th. By the time we got to Bethel he was okay. But Jon’s symptoms warranted his having to go in for more extensive tests.
We flew to Anchorage on October 13th and met with the family practice doctor at the VA. They ordered a bunch of tests for Jon so he could see a neurologist. We stayed with Pastor Rodney Sawyer in Eagle River until October 20th. On the 20th, Jon flew to Soldotna and I returned to Scammon Bay to get some important paperwork, and also to get Leah and Rachel.
Leah, Rachel, and I flew to Soldotna from Scammon Bay with MARC on October 23rd. On October 24th we drove to Anchorage so Jon could get an MRI and MRA at Elmendorf Air Force Base.
Since October 24th, we’ve been staying at Alaska Mission House, courtesy of Dave and Beth Battle. While in Anchorage Jon also had a CT scan, an EEG, an EKG, and a bunch of other letters that we can’t even remember.
After his duplex-carotid bilateral ultrasound on November 13th, he was able to see a neurologist with an office at Alaska Regional Medical Center on November 15th. She ordered more blood tests and another MRI on Jon’s neck.
We still have an appointment on December 6th to see the VA neurologist who flies up to Anchorage for three days every month.
We are so thankful for your prayers and so tremendously blessed that God is in control. We love Scammon Bay and miss everyone there.
With love for you all as we anticipate His return,
